Sandisiwe holds a Masters in Economics (Rhodes University, South Africa), a Bachelor of Economics Honours (Rhodes University, South Africa) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management (Rhodes University, South Africa).

Sandisiwe is a Researcher at Cenfri and joined the organization at the beginning of 2010. Sandisiwe’s particular area of interest is the relationship between the political and economic spheres. She has worked on a broad range of projects within financial inclusion focusing on consumer education, microinsurance regulation, and the impact of financial regulation on financial inclusion. Specific projects that Sandisiwe has worked on include the provision of technical advice and support to the Mozambican IGS office, an assessment of the 90-day Zimbabwean visa as a tool for financial inclusion, financial inclusion scoping visits to Mozambique and Zimbabwe as well as an assessment of the South African Insurance Association’s consumer education projects.
